The fruit garden's going well... Saw Lois McMaster Bujold on her book tour some time back. Asked a question about GURPS Vorkosigan which (shock!) seems to be actually coming out in a month or so. Been reading a lot. Niven and Pournelle's Escape from Hell was not quite as entertaining and thought-provoking as their original Inferno but still pretty good. I blame Vatican II. The cat had an apparent stroke, as is her kitty family's apparent tradition. Her older half-brother died of a stroke at pretty much exactly her age. She was blind and staggering in circles for a few days, and is still mostly blind but has recovered most basic cat functionality, including sitting on laps, eating, drinking, sitting in the sun, napping, and even outdoor navigation. So we'll see how it goes. I miss Pittsburgh, in a lot of ways. Local gaming groups for one! |

Ah, I haven't updated this in a while. Cat did not die. Cat actually got better with some steroids and is now perfectly all right. I'll be on the UW campus for the summer. Might be interesting. Also, I kind of have a hole in my foot. I mean, on the one hand, I should probably see the doctor. On the other hand, it was really clean, has sealed up, and I'm up to date on my tetanus shots. |

So it's pretty much official at this stage that I'm leaving Pittsburgh. I'm coming in I think morning Monday, and leaving morning Thanksgiving. I need to see a lot of people during that time, many of which will probably be leaving/already left. Tuesday is my birthday. Perhaps I can set something up... *is sad* Current Mood:  sad |

Dentistry questions
Does anyone know any good Pittsburgh dentists? I strongly suspect the one I walked into was trying to scam me. The $200 toothbrush recommendation was a dead giveaway. |

So... I was the last person at the raffle at GASPCon... and they told me I could take two prizes... so in addition to a random roleplaying book I will never use, ...I have 24 starter packs and 120 boosters of the Austin Powers Collectible Card Game.
